Sutter Health announced on Monday an investment of $ 5. 5 million in new attention in Lake County, which is expected to open its doors in June next year.
The 6,900-square-foot facility, in Hidden Valley Lake, will provide pressing care, number one care, on-site lab and X-ray services, and specialty cardiology, OB/Gyn and orthopedic care, according to the announcement through Sacramento-based Sutter Health on June 2.
Sutter’s New Care Middle is part of a broader, systemwide initiative to access number one and behavioral fitness facilities in rural and remote communities, according to the nonprofit fitness system.
“Currently, Lake County has just 12 number one care physicians serving more than 67,000 citizens, a shortage that contributes to wait times of up to six months for new meetings for patients,” said Timothy Stephens, CEO of Sutter Lakeside Hospital, which will oversee the new care facility. “This new site provides home care for the citizens of Lake Hidden Valley and surrounding communities and serves 3,000 new patients each year. “
In Del Norte County, Sutter Coast Hospital opened a new Empath (Emergency Assessment, Remedy and Cure) unit on Monday.
“Our new unit in Empath is a critical step in the way we take care of those who have a sharp behavior aptitude,” said Michael Lane, CEO of the Sutter Coast hospital. “This will become a shelter for other people in crisis, offering compassionate and well -timed attention in which they can trust, and we look in advance to offer that attention to those who wish in our community. “
The Empath unit is expected to open in early 2026 and will also wait for times in the emergency room at Sutter Coast Hospital, according to Sutter.
