Jones on Main Street is one of the most productive examples of the city’s Art Deco architecture and is the tallest building south of Chicago when it opened in 1929.
The origins of Riesner Tenant House are a mystery, however, it moved to its current location in the 1880s. The captivating cottage had fallen into disgraced condition, but it held its wrecking ball and won a 2020 Good Brick Award.
Congregation Beth Yeshurun is also revered for its recovery from Hurricane Harvey.
The construction of the national cash register was inaugurated in 1929 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the invention of the cash register and today serves as an area and attic.

The construction of the National Cash Register opened in 1929, at the time of the 50th anniversary of the invention of the money sign, and was designed through the celebrated architect Joseph Finger. Su product was fashionable at the time, but the construction created with stones, arched windows and a mosaic frieze, all fostered through Renaissance Italy. The current goal of the construction is twofold, as it is a mixture of work area and a loft in the center of the city center. Tenants’ spaces were just spaces built to be rented, and Riesner Tenant House is a clever example of this, in the form of a captivating cottage in the sixth quarter. It’s unclear exactly when the space was built, perhaps as early as the 1860s. – however, its history begins when businessman BARiesner moved it to its existing site in the mid-1880s.
The design had deteriorated, but was purchased and restored to make it a showcase for the community, winning a 2020 Good Brick Award for its owner.
Finally, Jones on Main, formerly known as the Gulf Building, is a 36-story art deco tower. When it opened in 1929, it was the tallest building south of Chicago: a true jazz-era skyscraper with wide vertical lines and a luxurious audience. spaces that feature a four-story bench with terrazzo floors and traditional nickel moldings.
